A few words from the developer
-------------------------------

With ARDefender we wanted to create a simple yet entertaining game to showcase the Augmented Reality Technology weve spent years developing and refining.

We strongly believe in the AR potential to bring something fresh and really different in mobile gaming and were working on a very ambitious project based on the next iteration of our AR engine.

Were using the feedback we got with ARDefender to make the user experience as smooth as possible.

Pros and cons of ARDefender app for iPhone and iPad

ARDefender app good for

I gave 5 star so you get a good rating and download to improve this game! Augmented reality games are amazing but not many developers spend enough time on it. Add multiplayer and it will be the best!
This app is really cool on my iPod touch 4G. Cant wait for the update, a cool feature would be a mode just to play around with the AR with different 3D models.
Awesome game! But, developers, its really hard and cumbersome to try and shoot things. Maybe just touching something will shoot, instead of having to aim and then press fire. (by then the enemies are gone.). The concept is fantastic, and including other objects in the game is awesome!
This game blows me away! Its got great gameplay aspects and I am just lovin it! A couple things to add: different towers, upgrades, customization of towers, newer enemies, the ability to have one or more towers and even an awesome story line!!! OMG that would be amazing!!! Believe me, sir, if you add all these great new things, including retina display and game centre, you will be rich in no time!!!! Please consider what I have said Sir!
The use of Augmented Reality technique is brilliant, and the speed is very fast on the latest devices. One problem is that you have to move your arms while playing for targeting. Gameplay is smooth but all the stages are just the same.
Lots of promise. A really great start for this kind of technology. You definitely need to print out the document to get the full benefit of the game. The embedded version of the game is not very easy to control, I agree. BUT when you DO print out the document and put it on the floor or desk...WOW! I find it easiest to tap centre screen to set the target in the middle of the viewer then move the iPhone around to aim, its much more fun that way. The only complaint I have so far is sometimes when repeatedly hitting the fire button, the target shifts to the bottom right and you have to reset it back to the middle of the screen. This could easily be fixed by disabling the bottom right corner from moving the target and make it just for firing. NOTE: For fun, print out an even bigger document, say 3 times the size, and put that on the floor, I did, ha ha, then you find yourself jumping around the room like a looney trying to shoot these things. Just remember to always keep the document in view on the iPhones screen and it works great. Cant wait to see what you do with the updates, Im hooked. By the way, Im using an iphone 4.

Some bad moments

This game crashes just wayyyy too much. Push - Crashes Moving too much - Crashes Every 2 minutes - Crashes Got it righ away because how innavating it was. But needs a major tune-up.
If youve seen this type of AR before, youll know this isnt some complex rendering trick. However the game concept is still fresh. There are problems with the interface though, as you cant control a small sight target when your thumb is bigger than most of the objects on screen and obstructs the view. The game is also not fully fleshed out as gameplay is overly simple. Waiting for the developers to enhance this game however, as this shows a lot of promise.
It keeps asking for a tag device with no explanation of what it is
Waste of a $ (beside the fact it might help the dev team to improve the game?) but other wise... Boring simple yet promising & could be great but lack finesse & all the add up other people have made!!!
Needs a starting tutorial thats IN the game, not on some website.
I drew the circles on the page and then this tower came up. These little things started coming at me and then I blew them up!
